Weekends are for brunching and thanks to The Beautiful Pubs Collective brunch at home in Leicester is about to get a whole lot more fun.

The team behind award-winning pubs Knight & Garter, The Rutland & Derby and The Forge Inn are absolutely raising the brunch game with their brand new Brunch Club.

Their Brunch Boules feature freshly baked bread loaves filled with all of your brunching favourites.  As with everything that The Beautiful Pubs Collective does, there’s absolutely no compromising on the quality of ingredients. The stone baked boule is made using wheat, light rye and Campaillou flour and it will have been almost fully baked before you receive it. Perfect for filling and then re-baking.

So what’s inside? Well the classic Breakfast Hothob Boule contains lightly buttered leeks, sauteed paris brown and portobello mushrooms, toasted oyster mushrooms, award-winning Owen Taylor Country Special sausage, home cured unsmoked back bacon, slow roasted plum tomato and Taw Valley mature cheddar.    For the vegetarians, don’t worry, you’re in for a treat too. The veggie options contains the same leeks, mushrooms and slow roasted tomato but with additional sliced avocado and blanched asparagus in the filling.

Both are served with a portion of special baked beans for on the side.

The bread and fillings are cooked and require just heating at home. Full instructions are provided along with farm fresh eggs, which need to be cracked onto the top just before being finished off in the oven. As a tip, wrap your boule in foil when re-heating to keep a perfect fresh bread feel.

And the end result? Absolutely stunning. A fantastic different take on brunch in Leicester and one which we imagine will be a big hit! The portions are BIG and sure to brighten up a lockdown weekend. Crack open the Prosecco and juice and enjoy a fancy at home brunch date.
