Noah and The Whale, O2 Academy, Monday 17th October

Noah and The Whale played to a packed O2 Academy Leicester on Monday night. They were supported by the Bahamas. The band came out onstage in their suits and mop tops to a warm welcome from the eagerly awaiting Whale fans and the set certainly started as it meant to go on with. The crowd seemed a bit slow to warm up but once a few people started bopping about everyone seemed to perk up. For fans of tuneful melodic pop tunes this was right up their street. At one point the occasion must have got to one of their fans who passed out and had to miss the tail end of the show. For people like myself, who didn’t know too much about Noah and the Whale they kept their most popular tunes to near the end of their set, which definitely helped build up the atmosphere in this great venue. The now mandatory encore ended the evening on a complete high and their fans left the venue very happy!
