If you felt rocked by events in 2016 and want to find out more then don’t miss this event on 19 January at King Power Stadium as a group of academic experts come to Leicester for a public meeting to help answer some of your questions about Brexit.
It has been more than six months since Britain voted to leave the EU and there are now just weeks to go before the government triggers Article 50 to begin Brexit negotiations. Yet there remains remarkably little clarity about what will happen to our trade, our immigration system or our rights.
What should British negotiators be aiming for as they thrash out a Brexit deal with Europe and what should we, the young British public, be asking of our leaders at this crucial time in our nation’s history? Do we want a hard Brexit or soft? What kind of a trade deal is available to us? What kind of immigration system is even possible after we leave the EU?
The Conversation and The UK in a Changing Europe want to help fill the information void with this free, open forum in the Banks Lounge at King Power stadium, home of Leicester City. Everyone is welcome to along on 19 January to get a better idea of what the future looks like for the UK outside the EU.
Panelists include experts on European politics, economics and the law, ready to answer your burning questions about how Brexit will affect you.
When: Doors open 6pm, event from 6.30pm to 8pm
Where: The Banks Lounge, Leicester City Football Club, Filbert Way, Leicester LE2 7FL
