As the events industry was hit HARD by Coronavirus, one local company has used the opportunity to transform their premises into a brand new lockdown studio.
Now capable of hosting gaming parties, allowing DJs to professionally record their sets, perfect social media production spaces and more, we caught up with the team at Premier Events to find out more about it.
Tell us a little about The Premier Studio and the services you offer?
The Premier Studio based in Thurmaston, Leicester is a state of the art studio facility. The set up has a 10m backdrop with a video wall as well as new camera equipment.
The space has enough socially distanced space for 20 people and only needs two people to operate. In all it has around 1,500 sq ft of space and enough room on stage for five people. The set-up has a 10m backdrop with a video wall and the business has also invested in new camera equipment.
We have created several packages initially and will be adding more to the list over the next few weeks. Our packages include, DJ Performances, The Gaming Party, TIK TOK studio.
The DJ Performance
Fancy yourself as a DJ, or are you an experienced DJ wanting to level up your live streams then the studio is the place to be. Its kitted out with the same standard of equipment that you would find at the super clubs in Ibiza, but in Leicester…
Available in multiple 1 hour slots, the studio allows you to either practice, record or live stream your sets. Our AV team will be on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
The Gaming Party
Perfect for experiencing your favourite games, but in an immersive environment and on a 10 meter wide screen in 4K. All you need to bring with you is your console (or consoles), games and controllers – we will look after the rest for you.
With space for 10 people in the studio (2m apart) its a great place to host a party.
TikTok Studio
Looking to create TikTok videos that look out of this world, the studio is the place to do it. With a 10m wide screen, awesome lighting and audio setup, the possibilities are endless!
Who is this aimed at and is it something the whole family can enjoy?
The studio allows groups of friends and families to come together in a social distancing environment and share fun time together. Our facility has been built with social distancing in mind so families can enjoy their experience and have peace of mind. Our aim is for customers to book our facility for birthday parties etc.
Where abouts are you based?
The Premier Studio, is based in Thurmaston on the edge of Leicester, and is easily accessible from the M1.
Where did the idea come from?
Pre-lockdown, Premier was doing production and event management for global brands, including car launches, conferences and awards dinners for up to 1,300 people.
The business, which furloughed most of its 24 staff at the start of the outbreak, has even done sound and lighting for big wrestling shows.
Unfortunately, majority of our confirmed bookings have been postponed therefore we have changed one of the warehouses into a studio.
Is it something quite new and unique for Leicestershire?
Yes, this is a one of its kind facility and as far as we are aware, there is nothing out there in Leicester.
