The hugely popular Phoenix annual summer camps for children and young people age 7 to 19 are back and moving online.

The format may be different, but brilliant tutor Keith Allott will still cover all the key elements of filmmaking and production through daily online meet-ups, tutorials and tasks to work on at home.

There are 3 different summer camps aged at different age ranges:

Monday 27 July – Friday 31 July for ages 7 – 11 years

Monday 3 August – Friday 7 August for ages 12 – 15 years

Monday 10 – Friday 14 August for ages 16 – 19 years

At the beginning of each day the group will meet online, and your task for that day will be explained. Whether it’s looking at camera-work, performance, audio design, editing, special effects or scriptwriting. Throughout the day participants will meet regularly to talk, share ideas and see what everyone has made. Each task will be designed to be entertaining and educational in equal measure, reflecting a range of film genres, from sci-fi to comedy.

At the end of the week each group will have created a series of mini-films that’ll be collected together and shared online with friends and family.

Places on the week long courses cost £125 and can be booked via the Phoenix website.
