What a stunning backdrop for a wonderful performance. Yes, you can enjoy this summer’s first open-air theatre production of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice set against the backdrop of Belvoir Castle on Tuesday 20 August.
Performed by leading outdoor performers, Chapterhouse Theatre Company, and brought to life by award-winning writer Laura Turner, the production is a one night only event and not to be missed. Tickets are priced at £16 for adults and £12 for children and are on sale now.
Julie Priestley is Commercial Operations Manager at Belvoir Castle. She says: “It’s as if ‘Pride & Prejudice’ was written to be performed at Belvoir Castle. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect setting, with the Regency castle and stunning gardens only adding to the electric atmosphere.
“We’re delighted to welcome Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s wonderful take on this classic literary tale. The book has sold over 20 million copies worldwide and Hollywood A-listers, including Keira Knightley, have lined up to play the inimitable Elizabeth Bennett. It’s a must-see production set in a must-see location.”
Gates open at 6pm and guests are invited to bring their own rugs or low-backed seating. Tickets are available from 0871 220 0260 or online via Seetickets.
