2011 is all but over and all that’s left to do is see the year out in style! Many of you will have been planning tonight for weeks and, no doubt, some of you will have woken up this morning still without a plan of action. If that’s the case then look no further, here’s our last minute top tips to a great end of year!
Nine Bar on Narborough Road have got a great deal on. Tickets for their New Year party are priced at £35, expensive you might think, but not when you factor in that it’s FREE BAR. Yes, your £35 ticket covers you for drinks all night, including premium spirits. Tickets are limited to 100 people so the queues shouldn’t even be too bad! For further info call 0116 2551355.
Hakamou is probably the best new bar to open in the city this year and they’ll be celebrating 2012’s arrival in their usual Hawaiian, crazy cocktail themed way. They have a few last minute tables still available to reserve, so be quick. They ask that anyone with a table arrives by 8.30pm and the table is yours for the night, with guaranteed table service until 10.30pm. Call for 0116 2549650 reservations.
The Almanack in Bathhouse Lane, Highcross, are throwing a party with the very last few free tickets still available. There’ll be nibbles and fine music, with free champagne at midnight for anybody who has eaten in the restaurant. To enquire about tickets please call 0116 2160705.
Firebug are having a big one with celebrations both upstairs and downstairs in the city centre venue. With free entry, no inflated drinks prices, just your bar as you’d always expect it but with the added bonus of free champagne at midnight you can enjoy their downstairs shenanigans. If you fancy a dance, Plug is taking over the upstairs with the best tunes from indie to punk and live sets from the fabulous Hymns and Speaking in Italics. Open until 4am.
If you don’t fancy going out then why not stay in and invite some mates round to watch Leicester’s finest take to London’s o2 stage tonight. Their concert is being streamed live on YouTube so you can be right in the heart of the action with them. Just follow this link HERE.
Whatever you do, have a great one! Here’s to a wonderful 2012.
