Since The Kitchen opened up inside The Cookie in January this year it’s been one of our favourite spots to head to for a daytime bite to eat. Lucky for all of us they’ve just announced a brand new springtime menu and even a lunchtime meal deal that runs from Wednesday to Sunday from midday to 3pm.
The Kitchen pride themselves on the quality of their produce and customers can be assured of freshly prepared meals, right down to the homemade crisps. The menu ranges from light bites including Apple and Black Pudding Salad with caramelized apples, sautéed black pudding, broad beans & new potatoes and Mini Onion Bhajis with a mango and red pepper salsa to new menu mains including Lamb Tagine with slow roasted lamb shank and Moroccan spiced couscous and Chorizo and Chickpea Stew with mini cornbread dumplings. Original favourites including The Kitchen’s famous Mac & Cheese with crispy bacon will also be staying on the menu into the summer.
For a lunchtime bite customers can also expect the finest sandwiches and burgers, which have been so popular since the launch. Served on local Brucciani’s sourdough loaf enjoy Brie & Bacon with Chilli Jam, Chargirlled Aubergine with Sundried Tomato & Basil Hummous and Pulled Korean Chicken Breast with Sriracha Hot Sauce and Kimchi.
At lunchtimes throughout the week and weekend customers can also benefit from The Kitchen’s great lunchtime offer and enjoy a choice of any sandwich on granary or sourdough bread with homemade crisps and soft or hot drink for just £5. This offer is available from Wednesday to Sunday from midday to 3pm.
The Kitchen is located in The Cookie on High Street, the home of many of Leicester’s best live music and comedy events, and full information can be found at www.thecookieleicester.co.uk.
