The Belmont Hotel in Leicester has launched a fantastic new menu following the appointment of head chef of its Windows on New Walk restaurant, Jeremy Jones. Jeremy has a wealth of experience, including being Executive Head Chef at restaurants at Wimbledon, Wembley, Twickenham and more. His new menu features a range of dishes that encapsulate his vision of the best in modern British cuisine, whilst making the most of local and independent producers and suppliers.

The menu features British classics such as Fresh Water Crayfish and Prawn Cocktail, a delicate Whole Baked Lemon Sole and heart-warming homemade Treacle Tart.  Or try dishes such as the Belmont House Salad of Smoked Duck Breast with local Bosworth Battle Blue Cheese and a roasted Walnut dressing; the Confit Belly Pork and Tender Loin with Sparkenhoe Red Leicester Gnocchi and Cassoulet Broad Beans and Peas, or the Slow Roast Rabbit Leg stuffed with Chicken & Chorizo wrapped in Pancetta, Savoy Cabbage and a Red wine sauce. If there’s room left, indulge in a Dark Chocolate Ganache and Earl Grey Tea Prunes with a Chocolate Crumb, Raspberry Sorbet and Hazelnut Cream, or a hand-picked selection of local Artisan Cheeses.

The menu also features a grill section where the restaurant’s butcher, Owan Taylor, sources local livestock from the Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area.  All the beef is grass fed and aged for six weeks before being ready for guests to enjoy.  Steaks are available from £15 served with either parsley butter, peppercorn sauce or red wine jus and confit tomato, hand cut chips and wedge of lettuce with house dressing.

Enjoy a three course dinner from £17.95. Choose from a wide variety of dishes including vegetarian and gluten free options. For reservations call 0116 254 4773 or visit The Belmont Hotel.
