The long wait is over and Mowgli is finally set to open in St Martin’s Square on Monday 16 September. Furthermore diners can enjoy 50% off food for the first week!

The Mowgli experience is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. Founder, Nisha Katona, wanted to bring this authentic way of eating to the main market and set about building Mowgli. The dishes on the menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. Instead they convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.

The Leicester restaurant follows their two sites in Mowgli’s home city Liverpool, and two in Manchester, alongside one in Birmingham, Nottingham, Oxford and Sheffield. Boasting a fresh and fuss free home kitchen, the Mowgli experience features an extensive vegan menu of Indian food, pared back and unplugged. “Our food is fresh, light, delicate and extremely healthy which are not words the UK would ever associate with “curry”. The selection of dishes feed that yearning Indians have for bright intense rich flavours.”

In St Martin’s Square Mowgli has found the perfect location; a quirky, cool and bohemian district. With swings for seating and gorgeous interiors, the Leicester restaurant looks just as creatively designed as their other much loved restaurants. “We welcome our guests as if they’ve just stepped into our living room. It’s not a hushed dining experience, it’s all about the smash and grab of addictive flavours”.

For the first week of opening Mowgli is offering 50% off food to all diners (excluding Saturday night). It will be open for walk ins only with no tables available to book until w/c 23 September.
