The Stamford Arms in Groby is now undergoing the final touches of its £500,000 refurbishment project that will see a new deli, coffee shop and tapas bar added to the pub.

A joint project between Everards and the pub’s business owners, Justin and Wayne, The Stamford Deli will be the first phase of the development to open, opening its doors next week on Friday 7 November.

The pub can now reveal the full menu for the coffee shop and deli, which includes breakfast (served from 8am – 11.30am) before lunch service going through until 4.30pm.

From a traditional Deli Full English, to Eggs Royale, Eggs Alla Puttanesca, American pancake and waffle stacks and Breakfast Butties on Hambleton’s bread, there’s a varied and family friendly choice available. The deli will also offer a range of gluten free breakfast options.

At lunchtime, the choice increases further with freshly made to order sandwiches, homemade quiches, grazing plates, salad and pasta bowls, hot sourdough toasties, and jacket potatoes. As with the breakfast menu, gluten free options will be available.

Owners at The Stamford Arms have been careful to work with local East Midlands suppliers when curating the menu, including Hambleton’s Bakery, 200 Degrees Coffee and Drivers Pickles.

The pub has now closed for one week until Tuesday 4 November to allow them to put the final touches to the new development.

Following the launch of The Stamford Deli on Friday 7 November, their new tapas concept, Yamas! Will open on 20 November. The menu will bring together the delicious flavours of the Mediterranean with a varied menu of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes.

From Chorizo De Miel Y Vina Roja (Chorizo in red wine and sticky honey glaze) to Souvlaki Me Chaloumi (Halloumi skewers with tomato, red onion and tzatziki) and Paella De Langotinos (King prawns with arborio rice, saffron aioli and crispy onions), the menu offers the ideal choice for an evening of sharing plates and conversation.

Landlord, Justin Bowles, commented, “The final touches for the development are now coming together and we can’t wait to open the new Stamford Deli next week. We’ve been working closely on the menus for both The Stamford Deli and Yamas! and believe we’ve put together something really special for the area. The Stamford Arms is a real hub of the community in Groby, and we can’t wait to welcome in even more people with these new additions.”

The Stamford Arms is currently closed for the final work to be completed. They will re-open on Tuesday 4 November.

The Stamford Deli opens to the public on Friday 7 November at 8am. Yamas! restaurant will follow later in the month, from 20 November, with evening service Thursday – Saturday.
