One of Leicester’s finest city centre restaurants has announced that they’re to take a 2 month break… but they’ve promised they’ll be back!

Lilu Fine Dining on Highcross Street will be closing from 1 September – 1 November, with plans to then re-open ahead of the Christmas period. The restaurant owners also recently launched Wigston Fields News & Deli, which has become a huge success with their Saturday showcases of local producers, and they’ll be continuing with this support of other independents and finding the county’s best producers throughout their break from Lilu.

Weekly producer showcase with the finest local products

Lilu has always been proud to offer regional Indian cuisine that is #NotJustACurry. The menu and venue are a tribute to owner Pratik’s late mother, her recipes and her enduring commitment to providing wonderful hospitality and great food to any visitors to her house.

If you’re worried you’ll be missing out on your favourite dishes the restaurant has just announced they be selling some of the customer favourites in fresh batches from Wigston Fields News & Deli. You’d better be quick though as they’re expected to sell out, so keep an eye on their Facebook page.
