Rugby fans… who’s a bit bored of the catering options at the stadium? Good news then for next season as Leicester Tigers announce Levy UK, the sport and hospitality sector of Compass Group UK and Ireland, will be taking over as official caterers at Welford Road stadium.

The food and hospitality contract will see the company rejuvenate all matchday and event catering services across the ground, which includes more than 10 bars and 25 executive boxes including the popular Final Whistle Bar, The Drogolites Bar and more. The move comes following supporter feedback, forum meetings and the club’s ongoing commitment to stadium developments for supporters.

In the past year, Tigers has introduced self-collection bars and kiosk collection points, and teamed up with a new ticketing partner to enhance the level of service for supporters and guests.

Improvement plans include a focus around speed of service and introducing a contactless environment, retail concessions, refurbishments to bars as well as links with local brewers and products served on tap.

Andrea Pinchen, commercial director at Leicester Tigers said: “The club is dedicated to improving everything we do, and we know catering is a massive element of many supporters matchdays. Levy UK has demonstrated their capabilities over many years, and we’re pleased to have them on board.

“The team share our love and passion for sport, and we know how much the fan experience means to them and this was the key factor in our decision to enter this new and exciting partnership.”

Levy UK has a strong reputation within professional sport as partners of England Rugby’s Twickenham Stadium and Tigers neighbours Leicester City FC as well as at The O2 in London.
