Leicester Restaurant Week is back for 2022, with over 50 different offers from over 30 of your favourite city centre food spots.

From set price deals to special menu items, Leicester Restaurant Week celebrates the best of the city centre food scene.

Leicester Restaurant Week runs from 17 – 23 October 2022 and we’ve picked out some of our favourite deals for you to bag.

Set menus

Last year Knight & Garter were fully booked for their Leicester Restaurant Week menu, so make sure you grab a table. Their set menu sees them offering 3 courses for £20, which is a great way to sample what they have on offer. Choose from Chicken Milanese, Wild Mushroom Pappardelle, Roasted Cod Loin and more, with an equally enticing choice of starters and desserts.  Or head to Wygston’s House to make the most of their 2 courses and a drink for £20. Choose from Steak Tartare, Mussels, Pie of the Day, Tandoori Salmon and much more, with a glass of wine or selected pints included.

Special menu items

We couldn’t look further than Crafty for this one as they’re bringing in a special Gourmet Hot Dog menu especially for Leicester Restaurant Week. Their gourmet dog options come in beef, pork or vegan with choice of toppings and sauces. All served with fries and priced at £10.

Lunchtime specials

If you’re looking to make the most of daytime deals then head to St Martin’s Square to visit Just So Italian. Throughout Leicester Restaurant Week they’re offering a filled focaccia, drink and Italian pastry for £10.

For vegan

Prana offer a 100% vegan menu and they’re now opening late on Friday and Saturday evenings as well. During Leicester Restaurant Week you can enjoy a free glass of organic wine with any main course from their menu. Also, Restaurant 263 offer vegan options across all courses of their tasting menu. Book in for their 3 course tasting menu for £25 offer.

For gluten free

Don’t miss the menu at Queen of Bradgate if you’re looking for gluten free options. They’re offering 2 courses for £14.95 or 3 courses for £19.95 and 95% of the starters and main courses are gluten free. The food here is absolutely underrated, with the bar putting out great restaurant quality dishes. P.S. They also offer 2 for 1 cocktails every day between 5pm – 8pm. Also, get a trip to Dough What on your list. Every pizza they offer can be made gluten free. They have 5 different offers during Leicester Restaurant Week, including a Family Feast for £20, any pizza and a glass of wine for £10, and more.

For date night

For date night why not get dressed up and treat yourself to a night out at Black Iron Social? They’re offering 3 courses for £25 including Pork cheek, Chicken breast with hasselback potato, Sticky toffee pudding and more. Or head to Sonrisa to enjoy their selection of small plates as they’re offering 3 Platitos for £20.

For sports fans

With Leicester Tigers in action on Wednesday night, Leicester City in Premier League action on Thursday night and Riders returning to BBL action on Friday, there’ll be plenty of people looking for some pre-match food in town. Desi Street Food are offering a Mixed Platter for £20, including samosas, paneer, chilli cheese balls, masala chips and more. Or head to The Rutland & Derby for their Street Food Collective offer with Rutland Fried Chicken for £7.50, Leicester Restaurant Week Special Burger for £10.50, or a meal deal for 2 including burgers, chips and beers for £30.

For theatre-goers

Sister Act is at Curve during Leicester Restaurant Week so if you’re heading out for a night out at the theatre make sure to enjoy a bite to eat first. Chutney Ivy is offering their Taster Menu for £20, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a selection of their most popular dishes. For a more casual option The Exchange Bar will be offering their cheese and meat boards (vg options available) with one-person boards for £5 or two-person boards for £10.

For students

Get your pizza fix during Leicester Restaurant Week as Pizza Punks are offering any starter plus choice of pizza or pasta and a prosecco for beer for £20. Or for your pizza fix throughout the day head to Dough What. They’ve got a number of offers available, but don’t miss their lunchtime deal of pizza and a drink for £10.

For families

Why not treat your mum and dad to afternoon tea? Five Fox Lane is offering family afternoon tea for £20 with a mix of freshly made cakes and sandwiches. Or head to Revolution where kids can eat for £1 with any adult throughout the week. You could also head to Bodega where they’ve got a child friendly small plate and dessert for £10 or the bigger option of a large plate and dessert for £15.
