Great news, foodies. Leicester is set to get a brand new taste-tastic event this autumn as Leicester Restaurant Week is set to launch in October.

The very first Leicester Restaurant Week is coming to town from 18th – 24th October. The event will shine a spotlight on some of the best eateries in town, giving locals and visitors alike the opportunity to try somewhere new or an excuse to head back to their favourite dining spot.

Customers will be able to enjoy a week packed full of exclusive fixed price menus, special family menus to celebrate Half Term, one off dishes and more. Leicester Restaurant Week is aiming to have something for everyone. So far, a number of restaurants have signed up to take part, including Orton’s Brasserie, Giggling Squid, Knight & Garter, Kayal, Herb and The Globe, with more to be announced over the coming weeks.

Leicester Restaurant Week is being introduced to the city by BID Leicester, who are keen to celebrate the sector after hospitality has endured the toughest 18 months possible.

BID Director, Simon Jenner, commented: “We have seen first-hand the effect that the pandemic had on our city, specifically within hospitality. Leicester Restaurant Week has been something we as a BID team have wanted to run with for some time, particularly after seeing the hugely positive impact Restaurant Weeks have had (and continue to have) in other cities throughout the UK.

“It’s an opportunity to shine the spotlight on all the amazing eateries in the city, as well as encouraging both locals and visitors alike to come into Leicester and celebrate its amazing foodie scene. With all the various offers set to be available, you could dine out every night of the week for less than £100!”

To celebrate the launch of Leicester Restaurant Week you can win a £50 Leicester Gift Card by signing up to hear updates about which restaurants are taking part and what deals you can enjoy.
