As fireworks time rolls around again, local charity, Wishes 4 Kids, has enrolled some special guests to help them celebrate Bonfire Night, with Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and James Maddison announced as the VIP guests who’ll be lighting the bonfire at their event in Illston on the Hill.
The event is being held on Tuesday 5 November in the village of Illston on the Hill with entry payable by a donation at the gate on the night. All proceeds from the evening will go to Wishes 4 Kids, the Leicestershire charity who work to grant wishes for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas and have suffered major abuse.
Alongside football stars James Maddison and Ben Chilwell, there will be music and live entertainment from Jersey Budd and Fun Lovin’ Criminals’ Uncle Frank, plus Billy Bates fun fair, range of food and drink stalls and a fully licensed bar. The event will be hosted by BBC Radio Leicester’s Ian Stringer.
There is on site parking at the event site, which is located opposite the cricket club in Illston on the Hill (LE7 9EG).
Tickets aren’t required but please consider giving generously on the gate as the charity looks to surpass the huge £17500 they raised last year.
