Isn’t it typical, you wait 15 years for a bowling alley and then two show up together. Hot on the heels of the announcement of East Street Lanes opening up in town, Lane7 have now announced their intention to open a Leicester site this year.
Lane7 operate venues in Newcastle, Birmingham, Liverpool, Middleborough and Aberdeen already, with Leicester looking set to open sometime in late autumn. The brand describes itself as “imagine the best bar you’ve ever been to then add a ten-pin bowling experience” and we’re expecting them to open in the Highcross area of the city.
Their other sites have become known for their upmarket bowling and late night venue offer. Most of the other sites welcome children during the daytime but evenings are 18+ as they ramp things up a little after 7pm. Other venues also offer additional activities ranging from karaoke to beer pong and pool, however we’re still waiting to hear exactly what Leicester will have in store.
