Summer’s approaching and in my eyes that means only one thing – festivals, festivals, festivals. Now then, we know that sleeping in a tent and not showering for days isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, which is why there seem to be a whole new breed of city venue based festivals rearing their heads in recent years. One of the best ones around is right on our doorstep over in Nottingham with Dot To Dot on Sunday 29th May.

Dot To Dot takes place in a number of venues around Nottingham City Centre on Sunday 29th May. and you can look forward to some huge gigs taking place in Rock City, Rescue Rooms, Nottingham Trent Student Union, Stealth and Bodega. Headlining this year’s event will be synth-pop duo Hurts and Californian rockers We Are Scientists. There is a spread of musical quality throughout the line-up to rival any major festival and you can enjoy it all with no need for wellies whatsoever! New Zealand’s favourite new band The Naked and Famous, Fyfe Dangerfield and his Guillemots and Welsh wonders The Joy Formidable will also be shaking Nottingham to its core throughout the day. Add to that the urban-tinged folk of rising star Ed Sheeran and Scottish six-piece Dananananaykroyd and you’ve got the makings of a unique and varied festival experience.

It all kicks off from 1pm and goes right the way through until 5am so it’s lucky that there’s a bank holiday the next day for you all to sleep off your hangovers!

Tickets are a very reasonable £30 and you can buy them from HERE. £30, one wristband and a whole day of top events!
