Foodies, time to add another one to your watch list… The Smokey Sloth.
The Smokey Sloth is all about BBQ done right, and by right they mean low and slow. Set up by Leicester man, Sully, he’s turned his passion for low and slow BBQ cooking into some pretty incredible pies, which are hitting the market very very soon.
The individual portion sized pies are packed full of high quality BBQ meat (no exaggeration, in fact most premium brand pies contain only around 35% meat, with The Smokey Sloth promising over 50% in every pie they make).
We were lucky enough to sample a couple of the pies before they go on public sale. Both the slow smoked beef brisket & stilton and the 11 hour slow smoked pork with creamy leek and sweet potato pie tasted as good as they looked, which is quite a feat when their photos had left them with quite a lot to live up to.
Sully is also working on his horse box smoker which will hopefully be hitting the road soon (as soon as event restrictions allow), to enable him to serves up pies and BBQ treats at outdoor events and other venues. In the meantime, The Smokey Sloth is officially registered to trade from the end of May.
