What makes Nursery Rhymes unique in terms of what you offer for children and parents?
Calm & friendly family run settings where the children love to learn through play and are cared for to the highest standards. Nursery Rhymes children follow home routines and our team provides fantastic feedback to parents via our daily app and in person during pickup. Both settings provide large secure gardens and separate sleep rooms for the babies.

You’ve recently opened your second nursery, in Knighton close to the Racecourse, how has the expansion been for Nursery Rhymes?
The expansion took many years of planning waiting for the perfect location in the local area. This also enabled us to train our educators up to the “Nursery Rhymes” high standards of care and education before some of our team seamlessly moved across to our new setting. Whilst both settings are unique, there is definitely the familiar Nursery Rhymes homely feeling to both settings.

What is your favourite thing about your locations?
Our settings are calm and quiet in residential areas with easy access for drop off and pickup, we are also close to bus routes and encourage “park & stride” with attractive routes for walking and the locations are ideal for parents that are driving into Leicester City Centre or to the motorways for their work. We have great local access to the wonderful Knighton Park and Botanic Gardens and the children love forest school activities at both nurseries.

What are the top 4 things a parent should consider when choosing a nursery for their child?
• The feeling when visiting a Nursery
• Staff are welcoming & friendly with a low turnover of staff
• Safeguarding / security of the setting
• The food is fresh and home cooked.

What is the biggest misconception about nurseries that you’ve heard?
That early years educators are “glorified babysitters”

What has been your proudest moment since working with Nursery Rhymes?
All of the milestones that we have helped the children achieve and knowing they are well educated and ready for BIG school!
