Great Food Club is encouraging Cool As Leicester followers to cast their vote in the Great Food Club Awards. The voting deadline is July 10 so make sure to have a read and pick your favourites.

This is your chance to put your favourites in the spotlight! GFC founder Matt Wright said: “Great Food Club HQ is in Melton Mowbray, so Leicestershire and Leicester is our heartland. We’d love Cool As Leicester followers to let us know which local food or drink independents they love the most. We want to shine a light on and recognise the best local places!”

“Please nominate the one food or drink business that has brought you the most joy over the past 12 months.”

The Awards Process
Once the voting closes on July 10, the top four vote winners in each category will make up a shortlist. Multiple votes from individuals for the same business will be discarded.

GFC’s judges will then visit every shortlisted business to decide the winners. They will eat and shop – anonymously where possible – at all the pubs, cafés, shops and restaurants, and chat to the all the producers.

The winners will be revealed on October 1 2021.

Ineligible Businesses
Businesses that won GFC awards last year were not eligible to be shortlisted this year. The aim of the awards is to showcase a broad range of independents and by not allowing a single business to win an award two years in a row, we go some way to achieving this aim.
