Gorse Hill City Farm has sadly been selected as one of the venues set to lose council funding. Now a fundraising gig is being held at The Shed to help raise funds for the family friendly attraction.

The gig, organised by Phono Media and Arclight Promotions, will be held on Saturday 25 January will raise funds for the farm park and animals, so that Leicester families and children still get to enjoy the facilities.

The all day event starts from midday and will feature family fun in the afternoon including a puppet show and family friendly acts. There’ll then be acoustic sets from Chris Bramley, Cassius Povey, Imogen Cresswell and more, plus bands including Side Project and Elba.

Moving into the evening there’ll also be a metal line-up downstairs on the Vault stage with line-up to be confirmed.

The minimum donation is £3 on the door and there’ll also be a charity raffle on the day.

Saturday 25 January, midday – 10.30pm.
