Can we ever have too many gin festivals? Not as far as we’re concerned! Now, the Space Centre is getting on board with GINtergalactic on 23 March – the cure to all your juniper infused woes.

Unlike standard gin events, GINtergalactic has been created by the team at the National Space Centre to offer a fully immersive event for food, drink, music and science lovers to enjoy.

Masterclasses range from perfect tonic pairing to making your own gin, whilst the workshops offer ticket holders the opportunity to make their own gin inspired perfumes, colognes and sherbet treats.

Gintergalactic

Visitors can enjoy a range of talks in the UK’s largest planetarium, or hit the dancefloor to dance the night away to the Prohibition big band in the Centre’s iconic Rocket Tower.

Add to all this an immersive market in the heart of the museum, with some of the best gin brands from right here in the East Midlands (as well as the rest of the world and beyond!) and you have a night that really can claim to be out of this world.

On the night the 42m high iconic Rocket Tower will be filled with the “Postmodern Jukebox” stylings of the band Prohibition. Brought together by their love for all things vintage, their set list is made up of all your favourite modern pop songs spanning four decades of the very best music, all performed in a quintessential post-modern jukebox style. From Michael Jackson to Meghan Trainor and everything in between, this remarkable live band play it all with an irresistible 1920s swing.

Malika Andress, Head of Marketing at the National Space Centre, explains why you should book your tickets now: “Not only will you have a fantastic night but you’re also supporting us as an education charity. The cost of your ticket goes to help our education and curatorial mission. You’re drinking gin, dancing the night away and supporting a good cause all at the same time.”

General Admission costs £15. Tickets including a Masterclass to take part in cosy £25. Please note all events are strictly 18+. Tickets are available from the National Space Centre website.
