Getting to the airport has been made a whole lot easier (and cheaper) as travel tech company, FlixBus, has announced they’ll be bringing new direct coach services for Leicester to major London airports Heathrow and Gatwick.

FlixBus will offer travel to Heathrow Airport terminals, and Gatwick Airport terminals for Nottingham and Leicester, three times a day each way from 17 April.

Tickets start at just £8.99 and are available to purchase now from its website or on the FlixBus App.

Managing Director of FlixBus UK, Andreas Schorling, said: “Following the successful launch of our London airport services to Birmingham, we’re now proudly bringing seamless, affordable transport links to the East Midlands. Whether it’s a holiday of a lifetime abroad or a weekend away in the UK, FlixBus is the ultimate companion to your travel plans!”

According to a recent poll from YouGov, airport transfers are typically seen as the most stressful thing (44%) about organising holidays[1].

FlixBus will offer peace of mind to passengers, with its reliable coach services, highly-rated Trust Pilot score and comfortable vehicles.

Unlike rail which requires time-consuming changes through central London, the route is a direct connection from city to airport, with luggage included in the fare.

Approaching its 4th anniversary, FlixBus says it is proudly building a nationwide coach network that will be over 200 vehicles strong by the summer, with its sights set on market leadership.

“The addition of this airport route for Nottingham and Leicester strengthens our network and allows us to serve more passengers than ever in time for summer,” added Andreas.

FlixBus offers long-distance coach travel to over 80 destinations across England, Wales and Scotland.

Tickets are available now at www.flixbus.co.uk and via the FlixBus App.
