Yes, the new restaurant from the team behind Black Iron at Winstanley House will open to the public on 1 November for a short soft launch period before their new opening. The menu promises the same quality that’s become known at Black Iron but with its own unique personality.
Open from breakfast through to dinner, the menu features small plates including Salt and Pepper Squid, Garlic and Thyme Scallops, Stuffed Mushrooms with Blue Cheese, Smoked Beetroot Tartare, as well as larger mains such as Bone in Sirloin Steak, Herb Crusted Hake and Miso Glazed Aubergine. They’ll also be offering breakfast throughout the week until 10.30am, with an extended brunch service until 2.45pm on Saturdays and Sundays. If you want to make it boozy you can add on an hour’s bottomless Prosecco, mimosas, Amstel, Inches Cider or hot drinks and juice. Check out the breakfast and brunch menus here.
Using a range of local suppliers, they stated, “Our menus are designed to be fun and enjoyable so whether you’re brunching with friends, revelling in after work cocktails, or tucking into a celebratory butter basted sirloin steak, there’s a plate for every occasion.”
Black Iron Social will be inside The Gresham on Market Street, as the former Fenwicks building is transformed into a space featuring an aparthotel, workspace and retail units.
