If you’ve been paying attention for the past 2 years you’ll know that in September Edible Forest Festival takes place to celebrate the food & drink of Charnwood and the surrounding areas. This year it’s back and even bigger and better than before. Alongside the event favourites such as Tea in the Tower at Old John, Forest Funk disco in a secret forest location and the Secret Gourmet, this year they’re launching the Forest Pod Dining Experience.

These pods have been a huge hit in London nestled along the banks of the Thames, but it’s a fantastic new festival feature and a first in Leicestershire. You can choose from a range of dining options through the day from Bubbles & Brunch to a Picnic Pod Experience or a fabulous Evening Dining Experience.

The pods seat 8 people and you can choose to share the experience with other guests or why not round up some friends and family and hire a whole pod to yourself.

On arrival you’ll join your fellow diners for a welcome drink before making the short walk through the trees to your own amazing forest pod. In the pod you’ll be served ‘family style’ with a range of forest inspired delicacies suitable to the time of day of your booking.

Your tickets include a welcome drink and there will be a full bar service throughout your sitting as well.

So where is this all happening? The pods will be located in the beautiful grounds of Abbots Oak Manor and bookings are available from Saturday 9th – Sunday 16th September.

These are expected to get booked up quickly so don’t waste any time. Tickets are priced at £30 each for brunch or picnic and £40 for evening dining. Grab your pod booking from the Edible Forest website.
