Once again, Leicester will celebrate its wonderfully talented design community as Design Season returns for its third year running across the city from from 12 – 30 October.

DS3 is curated by LCB Depot alongside a network of key local designers and design businesses and it will largely take place digitally through a series of online workshops, talks and business or designer led discussions.

As well as the online events, DS3 will also be hosting three city centre exhibitions. Loop and The Unloved have come together to curate a public-facing exhibition, featuring design and illustration work from freelance designers, creative companies and students. This will be viewable from outside The Unloved’s offices on Charles Street.

Over at LCB Depot visitors will also be able to enjoy ArtChannel, a multi-screen video installation that will be showcasing the latest digital art and design from both here in Leicestershire and further afield. The Design Showcase Exhibition will also be live at LCB Depot, featuring work from Architecture, Graphic Design, Illustration, Product and Furniture Design, Interactive Design, Fashion and Craft. All of these live exhibitions will run from 12 – 30 October.

Grays are also continuing their socially distanced foodie nights through the autumn, so why not pop and see the exhibitions whilst getting some delicious food from them too?

Other key event highlights of the season include the return of the Open Brand Collaboration, which invites designers, students and the general public to use their creative flair to help develop the DS brand identity.
