How’s your first week of home schooling going? Leicester design agency, Some Bright Spark have come up with a brilliant initiative to get children to settle in better  and make their new school environment seem a little more “official”.

Yes, they’ve set their first challenge as an art and design task.

Art and Design Task: Create a name and logo for your new school at home and write a sentence or two about what makes it the best school in the world

What to do: Take a picture of, or scan your design and send it to by 3pm on Friday 27th March.

What happens next? The Some Bright Spark team of designers will set to work creating your official school logos and then they’ll send as many as possible back to you within 48 hours. Your new school might event make it up onto the Instagram hall of fame.

To give you an idea, here’s an example from Creative Director, Mat’s new home school, which was imagined by Elliott (age 9) and Rosie (age 5).

After you’ve submitted your design they’ll try and get submissions sent back to you by the beginning of next week.

Creative Director, Matt Bartram, commented, “Both me and my wife thought it would be important for the kids to give the school a name and design a logo for it. It was a way to normalise the situation whilst making it fun. Naturally, for a 5 and 9 yer old, the called it The School of Poo.”

Keep an eye on their Instagram page @some_bright_spark to see if yours makes it up there!
