We know we told you that this would be coming in August but the hotly anticipated opening of new restaurant, Tandem, has hit a few project delays due to the premises being a Grade II listed building.

Don’t worry, you still won’t have too long to wait as the new restaurant is set to open in September. The Highcross restaurant site is an English Heritage building of special interest, and the team at Tandem has faced delays due to listed consent problems. They are keen to ensure they take every measure possible to guarantee that no damage is done during the restoration.

Of course Tandem is a restaurant opening on everyone’s radar due to the involvement of Chef Patron, Cyrus Todiwala. He commented, “It’s important we take extra time to get the restaurant looking exactly how we want and ensure that it is authentic to the Goan and Portuguese influences, whilst also maintaining the beauty and original features of the historical building.”

“We are as excited as ever to launch this new restaurant concept and to bring the authenticity of my dishes to the people of Leicester, and beyond! We promise it will be truly worth the wait.”
