Tired of the mad rush around the shops as Christmas approaches? This weekend you can enjoy something different as the historic Guildhall hosts its Christmas Fair.

The atmospheric surroundings of Leicester’s historic Guildhall are the setting for a Christmas shopping experience with a difference.

The 600 year-old Guildhall hosts the weekend Christmas Craft Fair, offering many exciting and original stalls, selling handmade arts and crafts, providing a unique opportunity to treat yourself or to buy gifts for your friends and family in both a historic and city centre location.

The historical buildings offer a festive and friendly setting, with opportunity to buy direct from the makers themselves, with stallholders including ranges of jewellery, artwork, textiles, ceramics, handmade cards, candles and photography.

Admission is only £1 for adults and children are free. It all kicks off at 11am on Saturday 3rd December and is open until 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Also on this weekend…

The Italian Market will be coming back to Gallowtree Gate. Colourful stalls will be selling a wide range of authentic Italian treats, including rare cheeses, olives, breads, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, Parma ham, cured meats; as well as many other distinctively Italian items. Open 9am – 5.30pm

Whilst at Curve the Makers’ Mart will be making an appearance. Free entry and stalls selling gifts including photographic prints, handmade jewellery, contemporary ceramics and much much more, don’t miss out on the chance to pick up some unique presents. As well as the stalls there will be festive entertainment in the foyer and mulled wine and mince pies in the Curve cafe.
