People can’t get enough of Leicester’s monthly street food party, Canteen, and this month it’s on for 2 DAYS, at the LCB Depot on Rutland Street on Friday 26 May and also Saturday 27 May. Such a huge hit with everyone, each month Canteen seems to get better and better and this month’s bonus event on Saturday will celebrate the Best of Leicester and run alongside the Cultural Quarter’s Bring The Paint Festival.

Don’t forget that there’ll be a fantastic drinks selection at the event too with the Sailor Jerry bar, real ale and the boutique cocktail bar in the courtyard will be returning. Keep reading for more on that! It’s going to be HOT. Good job they’re going to be serving cocktail slushies then, right?!

Kicking off from 5pm get down there early to soak up the atmosphere and then stay on until late to enjoy the DJ, cocktails and fun.

On Saturday we welcome back Smoqued, Grays, Big Daddies Diner, Wallace & Sons and Bitsy’s Emporium of Awesome! On Saturday, Wallace & Sons, who are from Manchester, will be donating all profits from the sale of the “Cauli Bun” Beer Battered Cauliflower, Peanuts, Miso) to the families of the victims of the tragedy in Manchester. Canteen will also be making a donation.


On Friday Canteen will welcome DJ Fitz with the best party tunes going all evening before the after party heads to Kai By Night (info below), and there’ll also be comedy at LCB Depot courtesy of Leicester Fridge.

Coming on Saturday? Canteen is joining up with Bring The Paint Festival to turn the Cultural Quarter into one big party. Spark Festival are also getting involved and they’ll have children’s retro gaming at the LCB Depot plus at 7pm there’ll be a film screening of The Warriors.


After last month’s phenomenal launch of the Boutique Cocktail Bar, the wonderful exclusive space is back for both of the days in May! This time featuring one of Birmingham’s best kept secrets, Lee Millard. Lee has worked at a plethora of great cocktail bars across Birmingham over the past 16 years including the early days of Island Bar followed by Fumo, Bank and The Bureau. He will be working on an exclusive menu featuring Hendricks Gin, Hudsons Bourbon, Reyka Vodka, Monkey Shoulder.

Of course we’ll also still have the Sailor Jerry cocktail bar for you too, serving up THESE DELIGHTS. And we already told you there’ll be slushy cocktails, right? It’s going to be hot so they’re sure to cool you down!

Can’t get enough? There will also be an exclusive cocktail after party for Canteen on Friday 26 May at Kai St Martins Sq from 9pm-2am featuring Mr Hickford from Promised Land playing funk, soul & disco on an all vinyl exclusive set. They’ll also have special offers on cocktail & craft beer!
