Missing some quality beer and wine at home? The Blue Boar on Millstone Lane has brought back their beer delivery with a twice weekly drop on Wednesdays and Fridays.
To guarantee your delivery you should order by 7pm the day before the delivery.

Cask: One or two cask ales will be available, individually priced, dispensed direct from the cask into 500ml bottles the same day they are delivered. These are best kept chilled to be consumed the same or next day. Beers available will be announced via Untappd and FB post.
Cider: Like the cask ale, these will be dispensed from draught into 500ml bottles as needed, and a list published on Facebook and Untappd. The cider is still, and will keep longer. Chill for up to a week.
Sam Smiths Bottles: The full Sam Smiths range is available at £3/bottle, all 5% abv.
550ml Bottles: Pure Brewed Organic Lager, Chocolate Stout, Nut Brown, Taddy Porter, Oatmeal Stout, Wheat Beer, Organic Cider, Organic Perry.
355ml Fruit Beer: Apricot, Raspberry, Strawberry, Cherry. Also in 355ml is Imperial Stout at 7% abv. Tynt Meadow: Leicestershire Trappist Ale. 330ml Bottle at 7.4% abv for £4/bottle.
Wine: Available in full size 75cl bottles are the following wines at £10 each:
White – Norte Chico Sauvignon Blanc 12.5%, Norte Chico Chardonnay 13%, Origini Pinot Grigio 12%.
Rose – Waters Edge Zinfandel 11%, Allamanda Pinot Grigio 12.5%.
Red: Norte Chico Cabernet Sauvignon 13%, Norte Chico Merlot 13%. Also Rolleston Vale Shiraz 14.5% and La Nina Malbec 13.5% are £13/bottle.
There is a minimum £35 order for deliveries. You can place your order via Facebook Messenger to the Blue Boar page or email [email protected] and include your name, address, and phone number. The Blue Boar will call you directly from 0116 3196230 prior to delivery to take payment by card over the phone.
To ensure contactless delivery, they’ll ring the bell and leave your order on the doorstep.
