Leicestershire looks set to welcome a new festival of Americana, Country and Roots music as The Long Road arrives at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth from 7 – 9 September. This year’s event will be headlined by Billy Bragg and The Shires, with a line-up of over 40 artists and plenty of other activities.

The new event adds another arm to the fantastic growing Leicestershire music scene with other acts on the line-up including Danny & The Champions of the World, Lee Ann Womack, Brent Cobb, BBC Introducing Takeover and so much more.

Not just about the music, The Long Road will offer a Kids Day Camp packed full of country craft skills, there’ll be lake swimming, roasting marshmallows over fire bowls, yoga and group meditation. You’ll even be able to learn about leather working, block printing, baton twirling and woodworking, to name a few.

The food follows suit and you’ll enjoy an authentic taste of southern America with Beats & Eats, smokey BBQ flavours, slow cooked chargrilled meats, cajun and creole soul food, New Orleans Po Boys, Vegan Junk Food, traditional dogs and so much more!

Quench your thirst at the late night Honky Tonk Bar and take a ride on the vintage fun fair. Seriously, it all sounds great!
