As December approaches and minds turn to Christmas shopping we’re looking at more ways for you to support the city centre.

All retail is re-opening at the start of December but there are also ways for you to support from home if you’re not comfortable going into town. Here’s part 2 of our BID Leicester Spotlight on Christmas shopping ideas.

Leicester Merch Aid

Support your favourite independents through merch. Leicester Merch Aid has launched a new winter collection which includes hoodies and sweatshirts from businesses including Manhattan34, The Very Bazaar, Grays, National Space Centre, Phoenix and more. Profits from all items go directly back to help your favourite businesses survive. In addition, you can also grab a hoodie or sweatshirt celebrating your love for your city in the Cool As Leicester collection.

Manhattan34 vouchers

Give someone something to look forward to after Christmas with a voucher for an experience at Manhattan34. Choose from a cocktail masterclass or tasting experience for 2 or 4 people and plan in a date for the new year. Buy now via LoyalFree Marketplace.

Curve

With a programme of events at Curve from mid-December onwards we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a return to indoor entertainment soon! Looking ahead to 2021 you could treat someone to tickets to shows including Sister Act, Six, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and many more. Not sure what they’d like? Why not grab a Curve gift voucher and let them choose. Check out what’s on via the Curve website.

Harriman & Co

Harriman & Co is one of Leicester’s absolutely gems. The independent interior store sells everything you need for the considered home. From candles to cushions, marriors to glassware, there’s something for everyone. You can shop online and arrange to click & collect or pay them a visit when retail opens after 2 December. Visit the Harriman & Co website for inspiration.

Cocoa Amore

Christmas is the perfect excuse to indulge, so why not do it in style? Leicester’s finest chocolatiers, Cocoa Amore, have a whole range of festive treats. Christmas hampers, selection boxes, chocolate stockings and chocolate brussels sprouts are some of the treats in store. Or if you really want to go all out then don’t miss their Year of Chocolate, with a whole year’s Cocoa Amore subscription. Check out the Cocoa Amore online shop for details.

Phoenix

Hands up who’s missing a night out at Phoenix? The independent cinema is now closed until January 2021 at the earliest but that doesn’t mean that you can’t look forward to a movie fix in 2021. You can buy gift vouchers online via the Phoenix website.
