Whether you’re looking for some fun after shopping, an afternoon out with the kids, or planning a fun date night, Treetop Adventure Golf at Highcross has you covered for all occasions.

The venue has been a big hit in the city since opening, with interactive course features, the rainforest themed Market and bar area, and with 2 different 18 hole courses to choose from, there’s every reason for a return visit. The team have been busy working to ensure that the venue is fully compliant with all Covid guidelines and have put their own unique jungle twist on things like queue markers and safety signage.

We caught up with Co-founder and CEO, Elizabeth Stanway, for this week’s BID Spotlight feature to find out how life is in the jungle post-lockdown.

How would you describe Treetop Adventure Golf to anybody who’s never been?

Treetop Adventure Golf is a world where temples crumble, ancient spirits stir and mini golf reigns supreme. We have two indoor 18-hole mini golf courses to choose from and everyone has the chance to brave the Bonus 19th hole for a chance to win a free round. After your game, you can head to The Market for tasty jungle grub from Pizza Cabana, sip on tropical cocktails and mocktails from The Thirsty Toucan or enjoy cracking coffee from the Rainforest Roast Café. Everyone’s welcome at Treetop. Our rainforest is open seven days a week, for everything from family days out to student hang-outs, date nights, work get-togethers and celebrations.

How has life been at Treetop Adventure Golf since re-opening?

We’re thrilled to have the rainforest doors back open in Leicester and life in the jungle has been great so far. We appreciate how difficult recent months have been for our guests and team. We’re glad Treetop is a fun place where guests can also escape to somewhere tropical.

What have been the biggest changes at the venue?

To keep our guests and team safe, there’s a one-way route for guests, fewer people for more space, and signs throughout the rainiest to keep guests a safe distance apart at all times. We’ve set up hand sanitiser stations and we’re only taking contactless payments. We’re also on the ball with extra cleaning – keeping hands and surfaces washed and washed again, and freshly scrubbing clubs and balls for every golfer. It’s also masks on to come in and we’ve temporarily paused parties & events and our Early Bird.

How has the response been from customers?

The response has been fantastic. Guests have really embraced the measures that we’ve put in place to keep everyone safe. We truly love to see our guests back in the jungle enjoying themselves and making memories together again.

What’s your favourite thing about the Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer?

It’s really too hard to choose a favourite feature from either of our two 18-hole courses! I personally love the Toco Toucan Spiral and our Trio of Singing Frogs!

What’s your favourite thing about Leicester as city to be based in as a business?

Leicester is such a vibrant, multi-cultural City with fantastic people. We feel honoured that Treetop has been embraced so warmly and always look forward to welcoming new guests to our jungle.

What’s the lowest score you’ve ever managed on one of the courses?

I genuinely can’t remember (or don’t want to share!) my lowest score – I’m usually spending time with our wonderful team or planning additions to the experience – but I know we’ve had an impressive 36 on our Ancient Explorer course by one of our guests. That’s going to be tough to beat!

Treetop Adventure Golf can be found on Shires Lane. They’re open from 10am everyday with no need to book, just turn up and tee off. Find out more on the Treetop Adventure Golf website
