This week’s Leicestershire Beer Garden of the Week tour takes us over to The Lancaster Arms in Desford.
Or maybe that should be Gin Garden of the Week, seeing as they have such a beautiful Burleighs Gin Terrace. When we visited The Lancaster Arms a few months ago we stated that it was one of the best outdoor spots in Leicestershire and with the changes coming in for their spring re-opening, we’re pretty sure that’s still the case!
They have 2 garden domes available for private hire, each seating 6 people. They’re a fantastic option for a family celebration or friend’s birthday and can be hired for either food or drinks only.
Over on their revamped terrace they have comfortable seating, heaters, a Burleighs gin menu, terrace treats light bites menu and it’s a perfect spot to spend an afternoon and evening.
The owners are currently making a number of changes to the terrace for spring time with summer screens and beautiful flower displays.
Keep an eye on our social media just before re-opening as we’ll bring you a look at what the spring/summer terrace has in store!
The Lancaster Arms will be re-opening on Friday 16 April, with opening limited to weekends only through the period of “unlocking”. Initially they’ll be serving their terrace light bites menu, with their full menu being re-introduced over the following weeks. Be sure to book in a return visit when the full menu relaunches too, particularly for their excellent Sunday lunch!
