This week our Leicestershire beer garden tour is heading back towards town as we stop off at The Black Horse in Aylestone.
This award-winning pub is in the heart of Aylestone and has a brilliant garden set-up with the added bonus of top quality burgers, super friendly landlords and a fantastic line-up of weekly live comedy.
Their Laughter Loft comedy events moved outside last year as they continued through the restrictions and were a huge hit. Names on the pub garden stage included Reginald D Hunter, Seann Walsh, Simon Brodkin and more. Not bad for a night outside your local boozer!
Those comedy nights will be continuing very soon, every Monday from Monday 19 April and tickets are on sale now.
Comedy aside the garden has plenty of seating available and some gorgeous outdoor carriages for a more private (and rain proof) experience. You can order both food and drink via the pub app and everything is table service.
As for the drinks, they offer at least 6 constantly changing cask ales and 3 changing craft beers, as well as boxes of lovely hand crafted real ciders. If gin is more your thing they have a huge choice for you to pick from, with fine wines and a nice non-alcoholic selection too.
And the food? Well, it’s all about the burgers! No corners are cut on these beauties. Our top recommendation is the Les-Tah Tiger, piled with Stilton, Red Leicester and more, or why not push the boat out with a Louisiana (a cajun spiced burger topped with halloumi, onions and pineapple).
The pub is reopening from midday on Monday 12 April. They’re open daily for drinks from 12pm – 10pm and for food from 12pm – 8pm Monday – Saturday and 12pm – 5pm on a Sunday. Bookings can be made by emailing [email protected] and walk-ins are also welcome.
Giggles in the Garden weekly comedy night tickets are on sale now via Gigantic.
