Get on over to Attenborough Arts Centre between 17 – 23 October as they’re throwing it back for an Acceptable in the 80s season of events.
From vintage clothes sales to a silent disco, there’ll be plenty of excuses to relive your youth!
The events kick off with a Vintage Kilo Sale on Thursday 17 October, where you can add to your wardrobe without breaking the bank. Running from 10am – 5pm, you can pick up a kilo of clothes and accessories for £15.
If film is more your thing then join them on Sunday 20 October for a special 80s film and quiz night. The Breakfast Club is currently leading the way in the votes for which film to screen, with Beetlejuice not far behind. The movie will be followed by all the fun of an 80s themed quiz. Tickets are free but spaces should be reserved. Book your spot via Eventbrite.
On Tuesday 22 October it’s time to get down on the floor with their UV Yoga Rave, which starts at 6.45pm. Ever wanted to Downward Dog to Snoop Dogg? The event combines a live DJ with meditation and yoga. Festival garb and ’80s outfits are welcome but, of course, optional! Water, UV body paint, lights, glowsticks and mats are all provided. Tickets are priced at just £2 and can be booked via the Attenborough Arts Centre website.
Finally, you can throw it back to Prom Night as the venue hosts an 80s silent disco on Wednesday 23 October. Yes, it’s the perfect excuse to dig out your best 80s fancy dress, or get some new use out of that old dress you haven’t worn for years. Expect to be transported back to the ‘80s with tunes from the likes of Kylie, George Michael, Culture Club and more…
Entry is free but you’re encouraged to reserve a free space. You can book your spot via Eventbrite.
Details of all events and ticket info can be found on the Attenborough Arts Centre website.
