Leicester City are continuing their tradition of helping the Leicestershire community with their Gift of a Wish 2020. Applications from organisations are open until Friday 24 April.
The 2020 Gift of a Wish programme will be a continuation of the tradition that saw Khun Vichai give generously to community causes after becoming the Club’s Chairman in 2010 up to his tragic passing in 2018.
Now, in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, Leicester City and the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation have already began supporting Leicestershire’s health services through University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, and supporting Age UK Rutland and Leicestershire.
The Gift of a Wish 2020 will seek to add to that support with a series of grants for smaller organisations, including those supporting the community’s immediate coronavirus response, and those whose work will be significant in its future emergence from the crisis.
Applications for support should detail the nature of your cause, project and requested donation, and can be submitted via the following method:
Applications will close at 5pm BST on Friday 24 April after which time a selection of causes will be selected by the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation Board of Trustees and a senior working group from within the Club.
Please note: Awarded funds will be solely allocated for specific projects outlined on application and priority will be given to the requests of good causes in Leicestershire & Rutland. Please also note that the club are unable to consider nor accept applications from any of the following:
– Applications for or on behalf of an individual.
– Applications for core funds, general costs, salaries, marketing or travel costs.
– Applications from third-party agencies on behalf of an organisation.
