If you enjoy a little adventure then you won’t want to miss out on an Evening with Ed Stafford.

Ed was the first man to walk the length of the Amazon, an epic journey that took 890 days to complete. He’s from here in Leicestershire and on 11 March he’ll be at Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre telling all about his adventures.

Not content with walking the length of the Amazon, this winter Ed has spent 60 days on the streets, no money, no food and no shelter, in order to get a 1st hand account of the challenges faced by homeless people today. He’ll be talking about all of this and more, such as the time he was marooned on a desert island, naked for 60 days, and ‘Left for Dead’ in the most hostile environments imaginable.

A truly remarkable man with a very unique story! Having given keynote talks in New York, London, Sydney, Istanbul, Barcelona, Geneva and many other cities worldwide, it’s brilliant to have him back here in Leicester.

Tickets for the event are priced at £16.58 including booking fee and are on sale now from Eventbrite.

Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre is based in Birstall. Ed is a patron of LOPC and funds raised from ticket sales will go towards their Kayak Launch campaign, reconstructing the launch to allow easier and safer access to paddle sports for people of all abilities.
