The best of Leicester’s curry scene once again gathered together as the Leicester Curry Awards 2025 landed at Athena.
Amongst the winners were some of our city centre stars. We’re shining a spotlight on them for this week’s BID Leicester Spotlight feature.
Whether you’re more Korma or Vindaloo, these restaurants are sure to get your tastebuds tingling.
Restaurant of the Year – Chutney Ivy
Chutney Ivy become the first back-to-back winners of Restaurant of the Year. The restaurant, situated in the Cultural Quarter, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.
Best New Restaurant – Amrut
Amrut, located on Churchgate, scooped Best New Restaurant following its launch in late 2024. The restaurant has become a popular addition to the city centre, with its modern twist on traditional dishes.
Best Fine Dining – Chutney Ivy
It was a double award with for Chutney Ivy as they also took home the Best Fine Dining (city) award. Perfect for a special occasion, this award recognises the restaurant that offers the extra special touches to your evening out or event.
Best Street Food – My Delhi
Also back-to-back winners on the night, My Delhi scooped the Best Street Food award for the second year in a row. The restaurant on Belvoir Street is a go-to for their dishes inspired by the streets of Delhi and their signature Butter Chicken.
