Family entertainment at The Little Theatre
Enjoy this superb musical adaptation of The Railway Children, which brings masterful emotional depth to the much loved quintessential English classic novel by E Nesbit. Following an idyllic Edwardian family whose life is changed forever when the mother and her three children, Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis are forced to move to the countryside. It takes you on a journey through the adventures they face during the summer that follows alongside a railway that they discover near to their house. This rite of passage story, developing from youthful passion for adventure to an adult sense of responsibility, is suitable for all the family to enjoy.

City centre family activities
There’s a whole host of family fun to be had in the city centre. Families can enjoy bowling at East Street Lanes, rainforest mini golf adventures at Treetop Adventure Golf, or cricketing fun in the nets at Sixes Social Cricket. Add to that trampolining fun at Boost, climbing the walls at Social Climbing, or all day gaming action at Lane7 and you’re spoilt for choice.
Steel Magnolias at Curve
Grab the girls for a night of theatre fun. The hysterical, heart-warming and iconic play Steel Magnolias is coming to light up Leicester until Saturday 8 April. The hilarious and heart-warming true story that inspired the hit film starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts, is beautifully brought to life on stage. Follow the trials and tribulations of six fierce and sassy women as they set the world to rights in their small-town bustling beauty salon.
