A new way of socialising is set to launch in Leicester with the Cool As Leicester Social Club.
Having lost count of the number of times we’ve heard “how do you make new friends as you get older?” or “I’d love to go to that gig but none of my friends fancy it”, we’ve taken steps to make socialising in Leicester easier than ever.
With the aim of combatting loneliness and encouraging people to talk and grow their friendship circle, the Cool As Leicester Social Club will be structured around a series of events throughout the year, as well as the set-up of an online community. Social events will be safe spaces for people to attend on their own and meet new people and will also have the added benefit of showcasing some of Leicestershire’s best independent venues.
As well as the main regular events, the launch of the new online community will enable people to find others who may be interested in attending specific events with them. Next time you see that gig you want to go to, why not ask if anyone else fancies it as well?
As the Cool As Leicester Social Club takes its first steps we’re keen to find out what YOU want from the community. Following many requests for a non-Facebook based communicaions channel, you can now also join our website FORUM. We will ensure that all events are shared across both platforms, but please do introduce yourself and start the conversations. You can also use the forum to share your reviews and recommendations of local spots.
