The Exchange has been at the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter since opening a number of years back and they’ve recently introduced their brand new bottomless afternoon teas into the mix, available every Sunday.

Having sampled the bottomless offering first hand we can’t recommend it highly enough, so let’s break it down into our top 5 reasons for you to book a table straight away:

> The food is bottomless as well as the Prosecco. Yes, between 12.30pm to 3pm your sandwiches, scones and petit fours will be topped up throughout the session until you’ve had your fill.

> The Prosecco is poured at regular intervals. We’ve been to many a bottomless offering where you’re left waiting for your glass to be filled, but staff at The Exchange were attentive and on hand to top you up as soon as the glass was beginning to look any less than half full. Don’t fancy Prosecco? We were also offered any house wine or soft drinks as part of the deal too.

> The mix of ciabattas included parma ham, and mozzarella, but also 2 tasty options for vegetarians with avocado and sundried tomato. The sandwiches come served on delicious soft ciabatta slices and are topped up throughout the sitting. Make sure you leave room for scones and cakes though!

> Freshly baked, light and delicious, the scones were probably the highlight of the afternoon tea for us. The bowls of cream and jam were so large they could have served 10 and they were complimented by a bowl of freshly cut strawberries to add that extra little touch. On a side note, you can even pop a couple of the slices of strawberry into your glass of Prosecco.

> The petit fours offer the perfect finish. Once you’ve had the willpower to turn down the extra servings of sandwiches and scones you still have the petit fours to go. With a range of macarons (including our favourite coffee flavoured one), plus mini tiramisu, mini cheesecake and tart, you’ll be spoilt for choice of which to try first.

The cute table set up, with matching table cloths, china and individual blackboard table signs, make a wonderful setting, and the food and drinks certainly match up to the same level.
