The summer of sport is about to kick off and Greene King are celebrating by inviting you to take to the road to mark the biggest football tournament of 2016.

Starting at the Counting House pub at Freemans Common, participants can join a mile-long tour of the King Power Stadium in a specially commissioned eight-man pedal pub on Wednesday 8 June. They’ll even give you a free beer.

The event, which is a partnership between Greene King and Budweiser, marks the start of the summer of sport, and to promote the Counting House’s ‘Season Ticket’ discount card, which offers guests 10 per cent off selected drinks during major sports fixtures.

The stadium tour is part of a four city stunt, ‘Le Tour de Pub’, launched in Wembley by football legend, former Leicester city midfielder and Welsh international, Robbie Savage.

Suraj Dalal, general manager of the Counting House, commented: “This summer is absolutely packed with sporting events, and to build on the anticipation we are taking the camaraderie of the sporting experience on the road with our pedal pub. We’re asking Leicester sporting fans to help celebrate the games in an exciting and memorable way.”

Robbie commented: “Whether supporters can make it to the stadiums, or are watching at home and in pubs throughout the UK, knowing you have the full support of the fans when playing internationally makes a huge difference as a player. Le Tour De Pub is a great way to mark the start of the tournament and build on the excitement and buzz around the games.”

To register your interest in taking part in ‘Le Tour de Pub’ and getting a place on the Pedal Pub on Wednesday 8 June (between 4pm to 8pm) just email [email protected]. Participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis.
